I wrote in a recent post that the wedding venue is not that important when it comes to wedding photography and I am now going to contradict myself! When we have a wedding venue as special as The Chester Grosvenor Hotel it really does make our job so much easier. The hotel staff are just so professional that they make other wedding venues look so ‘last year’.
From the moment you arrive at the door and the concierge valet-parks your car you know you at a ‘class venue’.
The wedding of Jade and John took place at Chester Town Hall – an imposing, elegant venue in the hear of Chester town center. It was then just a short walk to the Grosvenor Hotel for the wedding reception. The walk from Town Hall to hotel through the streets of Chester gave us some great opportunities for pictures!
Needless to say the wedding reception went without a hitch. The bride and groom had booked a fantastic saxophone duo to entertain guests as the Champagne flowed, the canapes were exquisite and the classical guitarist fantastic (I then met him the following day at the wedding of Daniel and Sarah in Warrington!).
